Allegiance - EPC Cigars

The Allegiance by Ernesto Perez Carrillo (EPC) joins an impressive lineup. The Pledge, Encore and La Historia are all award-winning cigars. The Allegiance is standing strong in that trio with a 94 rating of its own. This cigar is the result of a partnership with Oliva Cigars. Ernesto is the master behind the blend, while Oliva took care of production. It is very difficult to go wrong with this cigar.

Right out of the gate you’re going to notice the beautiful Ecuadorian Sumatra seed wrapper. It’s a cigar that simply looks good. You want to smoke it. Underneath the wrapper is all high quality Nicaraguan tobaccos in both binder and fillers. To me this is a medium+ cigar in its strength profile. I immediately noticed coffee, wood and earth notes. There was something underneath I couldn’t quite figure out. The best I can say is something like a hint of fruity sweetness. These notes work so well together and make this a fantastic smoke.

You can get this cigar in four different sizes.

  1. Sidekick - 5X50

  2. Confidant - 6X52

  3. Wingman - 6 7/8 X 54

  4. Chaperone - 6 1/4 X 58

On this particular evening, I was enjoying the Confidant. A wonderful 60-minute smoke for me.
